Monday 9/19

Pre-Algebra:

Finish your Vocabulary Chapter 2 w/s.  It is due on Thursday!

Videos to watch: 1. Addition of Rational Numbers; 2. Subtraction of Rational Numbers; 3. Multiplication of Rational Numbers; 4. Division of Rational Numbers

You will do 3 points from each video that you have learned.  We will be using these for a class discussion tomorrow so make sure you watch the videos.

You have a quiz tomorrow over rational numbers.  Make sure you know how to convert, how to find equivalent fractions, etc.

Your Chapter 2 Test will be on Friday.  This will be graded on this six weeks so you will need to work your hardest!

STAAR: We are working on Fractions this week.  Today we covered Equivalent Fractions and finding fractions with different denominators that equal each other. For some extra help, you could watch the Equivalent Fractions video.

    Multiplication of rational numbers.

    1 A rational number is any number that can be written in the form a/b where b is not equal to zero
    2 To multiply rational numbers you multiply (across)
    3 denominator times denominator
    2 do you have to have a common denominator?
    1can the number be negative?
